Saugatuck Center for the Arts Summer Solstice Affair

Last Saturday we celebrated the longest day of the year at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts Summer Solstice Affair. This event is a major fundraiser for the center and usually brings in around $100,000 per year. The money helps fund both adult and children's programs such as the Hempe Keyboard Series and cultural festivals.

The tent was beautifully decorated with colorful “10s” and tin symbolizing the tenth year of the event. Guests sat down to a vibrant farro salad which matched the table decorations perfectly. For dinner, the guests were served an entree duo of seared petit filet and apricot honey glazed prawns accompanied by white bean quinoa cake with baby zucchini and balsamic reduction. During dinner the live auction took place. This year's prizes included vacation packages, paintings, and backyard barbecues. After dessert the silent auction began.

We had a wonderful time catering for the Saugatuck Center for the Arts and look forward to next year!
