New Off-Premise Venue: The Richard App Gallery

We have recently added a new site to our off-premise venue list...the Richard App Gallery(RAPP).

Along with housing the work of talented artists, the RAPP hosts private and business events. It's located in the hip East Hills neighborhood and provides a chic yet cozy atmosphere. With three rooms and a patio this venue can fit up to 150 people...the party possibilities are endless! The space has been used for weddings, receptions, wine tastings, political events, intimate dinner parties, and business meetings. We had a blast catering here and especially working with Richard App who is very passionate about his gallery and loves seeing guests enjoy the space!

This gallery give guests plenty of room to sit, eat, and mingle.
A great view of the patio facing the gardens of the ICCF.

No need for large decorations...these simple wild flowers accent perfectly.
Brownies and coffee station with a unique backdrop.
We brought the pizza cart! Here are a few of our wood fired pizzas...

Saugatuck Center for the Arts Summer Solstice Affair

Last Saturday we celebrated the longest day of the year at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts Summer Solstice Affair. This event is a major fundraiser for the center and usually brings in around $100,000 per year. The money helps fund both adult and children's programs such as the Hempe Keyboard Series and cultural festivals.

The tent was beautifully decorated with colorful “10s” and tin symbolizing the tenth year of the event. Guests sat down to a vibrant farro salad which matched the table decorations perfectly. For dinner, the guests were served an entree duo of seared petit filet and apricot honey glazed prawns accompanied by white bean quinoa cake with baby zucchini and balsamic reduction. During dinner the live auction took place. This year's prizes included vacation packages, paintings, and backyard barbecues. After dessert the silent auction began.

We had a wonderful time catering for the Saugatuck Center for the Arts and look forward to next year!

Beach Polo Match

Beach polo in Michigan? Yes, last Saturday we had the pleasure of catering the first ever Michigan beach polo match held at Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon. This event was held to benefit Spectrum Health's Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids.

The University of Michigan and Michigan State University polo teams were the first to compete. Both teams powered through the tricky  sand conditions and put on a great show which was followed by a professional polo match.

While enjoying tasty appetizers, the VIP crowd watched the fashion show from front row seats. Along with Sydney's Boutique, two other boutiques and three designers had pieces in the show.

With perfect conditions and a sold out crowd, the day was a success. We can't wait for next years event!
